Timea beats Bouchard
Timea (WTA 21) defeated the Canadian Eugenie Bouchard (WTA 42) in the 3rd round of Indian Wells by the score of 6-2 5-7 6-2.
"I'm really happy about the way I played in the third set," told Timea during the on-court interview, "it was like the first set a little bit."
"I think Genie played really well, especially in the second; she pushed me a lot to make errors."
"I'm really glad I found a solution at the end."
The hockey legend Wayne Gretzky was in the crowd and Timea thanked him after the match :"The Great One was watching here, and he knows how it feels to get hurt in a hockey match. I fell right in front of him so I thought, 'It's all right; I have to show him I don't feel the pain.'"
Timea will face in the next round the young Russian Daria Kasatkina (WTA 48).
