Timea defeated in the 2nd round in Melbourne

Timea (WTA 14) was unfortunately defeated 6-2 6-3 by the German Annika Beck (WTA 55) in the 2nd round of the Australian Open.

According to her coach Dimitri Zavialoff : "Timea was simply not in a good day. There is no need to worry about the situation. We must just keep on working hard. It is only the beginning of the season."

Timea will now come back to Switzerland and prepare the Fed Cup tie against Germany which will take place early February in Leipzig.
